At what point will random projects become boring to you?

Brace yourselves... this time it's a boy project! Well, sort of... I made this for my friend K's little boy. Kermit wasn't the first choice but I was trying to find fabric in the colors she told me she liked. So... Kermit it was! The back is white buttery fleece because for some reason a minky fabric hoarder bought all of the blue and green minky. Grr! Luckily, I had the white on hand from the first quilt.

I should be done with quilts for a while... I have one more to do hopefully this weekend... and ALL of the BAG fabric should be here hopefully by Friday!!! Can't wait!!! There are some GREAT prints coming! And... I have another pattern I'm going to test out. There's one part of it that I can't quite figure out so that's where my Aunt Emily comes in to rescue me before I break something or waste fabric. Not sure how it will all turn out... the pattern is weird considering how simple the bag is, but then, patterns themselves are a foreign language to me so I really have no idea what I'm talking about. I also have a dress I want to try and make.

Did I mention that Nola tries to nap on ALL of the quilts? I think she's trying to tell me something... so a dog bed is in the works at some point, which will be a waste I'm sure of since she sleeps with me at night and isn't allowed off the bed (she'll pee somewhere, plus, I enjoy her company, she's a great spooner!). Maybe I will make a throw to put on the bed for during the daytime when she's gated in the bedroom ... that would be a better use of effort. Solved that problem. That's for being here to talk me through that one.

Good night!

You crack me up! I love the Boy quilt, so cute.

I am glad to know that our dogs aren't the only ones not allowed off the bed. We got Cali housetrained in no time and then when we got Minne she did good but I had this crazy idea that she was going to make Cali regress and pee in the house so we do the same, they are not allowed out of the bed. So funny.

Ok so now anytime someone gives me a hard time about our bed rule, I'm just going to say, "it's not just me, Jess does it too!" HA! That's so funny!!! Yeah Nola took FOREVER to train. She was 10 months old before she'd really gotten that I will flip out if she pees on the floor. Maybe boy dogs are easier???

GREAT quilt and no-your projects will not become boring! Now, if you made the same thing with the same fabric and posted it over and over-then maybe! :)

What I was picturing is you trying to keep her on the bed. You say she isn't allowed off the bed. I envisioned little doggie guardrails on your bed! hahahaha!

Guardrails, lol! Those would have been great when she was teeny and learning to stay up there! Although for a while I had the advantage of her being too afraid to jump down. I kept her in the bathroom gated for a while, then got a plastic mattress cover and put her in bed. There were still accidents, I have countless memories of stripping the bed at 2am. Oh puppyhood...
