Giveawhaa? Giveaway!

Next week, I'll take allllll of the boxes I've tossed my junk in carefully packed, load them into a moving truck, and drive a lot of miles somewhat north to unpack at my new house. Not too long after that, I'll head back down to NC where I'll tie the knot with my betrothed on the Atlantic shore. I would love to be able to go back to our fresh house after that, but the job situation is still in the air. I'm waiting as patiently as I possibly can to hear back from a couple of bites. Prayers are greatly appreciated...

With so much going on (there's more but I didn't want to completely make you insanely bored!), I'm in need of a little encouragement - and I have FIVE brand spankin' new copies of Bono's book On the Move (fitting, no!?) to give away.

I need you. Like, really need you!

I would love your favorite scripture(s), quote(s), words of encouragement - anything! I've come across some really motivating things lately but I still get caught up in my own head at times and it can be very frustrating up there! I KNOW that things will work out and a job will come along, but this has been quite the exercise in faith!

Leave me your favorites in the comments section. For the giveaway, I'll enter each comment so feel free to leave as many as you'd like. I don't necessarily have a 'spread the blog love' motive, however I'd LOVE as many encouraging notes as I can get so with that said, pass it along!

I'll post the randomly generated book winners on Monday.

I don't need a book but I did want to send some encouragement! You are at a real stage of transition in your life and I am sure that there are GREAT things to come. I wish you much joy in your new adventures and I hope that it isn't too busy to enjoy the trip. Good luck and blessings!

I have a lot of these because I have been going through some tough times too recently so it seems like every verse I memorize is something encouraging.

"For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" _Jeremiah 29:11

...and whenever I start to see God pulling things together for me and everything starts to fall into place, this is my favorite:

"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His Holy name." -Psalm 103

You can feel it in your soul when you say that one!

You'll need it because I just know He is going to take care of you and things will all fall in to place! A new house! A new husband! You are blessed!!

So does my email earlier (prior to seeing this post) count as encouragement? I am praying for you every day...for all the transitions you are facing.

"Be still and know that I am God" - Psalm 46:10

In the craziness and excitement of the next few months, I hope you can take time each day to be still...

I found your blog through the Ultimate Blog Party. I have enjoyed what I am reading. Good luck with your move, we just made a move ourselves and it DOES take a lot of trusting in the Lord to make such a huge change.

My favorite inspirational quote is not a Bible quote, which bothers me because I think the Lord is the only real source of strength, but I love it anyways.

When you come to the end of all the light you know, and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen: Either you will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly. -Edward Teller

I'd love to have you come check out my blog as well! God Bless.

"Don't try to do too many things at once!" Something my grandma always told me!

Stopping by late from Ann's VGNO! Come over & check out my latest creation, a mini album from local Portland area company Punky Sprouts. I'm very excited to share them with all the papercrafters out there & I'm sure even those who aren't will enjoy checking it out.

How about "whatever you want too much, you can't have, so when you really want something, try wanting it a little less"

I think I need to apply that one to myself a little more often :-)

Stopping by from VGNO belatedly to say hi.

I know this is a little late, but I wanted to give you some phrases as well. I've had to refer to these many times myself.

"And so I tell you, keep on asking, & you will be given what you ask for. Keep on looking, & you will find. Keep on knocking, & the door will be opened. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And the door is opened to everyone who knocks." -Luke 11:9-10

"The bigger your investment, the bigger the return. But you have to be willing to take a chance." - Dr. Meredith Grey

"Never give up on something you can't go a day without thinking about."

"Every story has an end, but in life every end is just a new beginning."

I hope these offer some encouragement :)

"Sometimes I'd like to ask God why He allows poverty, famine, and injustice in the world when He could do something about it, but I'm afraid God would ask me the same question."
