...by just about everyone except me. Thankful I get more hours than most though!

No one mentioned the possibility of snow last night...so when we woke up to SNOW we were a little surprised! It has been snowing since at least 6am and has finally just tapered off. I drove to work only to come home two hours later since the temperature never made it past 31 and the back roads I take were not the best. For now you can find me curled up on the couch in sweats with Nola, Luka, Finley and tiny boy. The logs are on and hot chocolate is in my future...

Week 28
Several friends remarked that I'm always behind the camera so... voila!
ha! :)
No real changes this week, unless we want to go TMI - I'll save that for its own post. In other not-so-TMI news, it's increasingly difficult to get comfortable sleeping. I'm a back/stomach sleeper so being pregnant has definitely put a damper on my sleep positions. Combine that plus my six pillows with a man and his five pillows (yeah, 11 in total), a dog, AND two cats in the bed and it just makes for a long night. Cozy, but long. For the last week, I've been up before 6 o'clock and at work by 8 - super early considering my day doesn't typically start until 9! While I'd normally look forward to sleeping in on the weekends, it's all I can do to stay in bed until 7:30am. I'm often bored and just wander around the house piddling around until Chandler is awake. Last weekend I made coffee at 6am and carried the pot midway up the stairs hoping he'd smell it and wake up on his own... didn't work.
I'm starting to get more and more excited to meet this tiny boy. Lately I feel like his personal swimming pool, only instead of swimming he's constantly hitting walls in there. The nursery is done with regard to furniture - we are still not sure about a bookshelf and the chair should be here in the next couple of weeks. We rearranged it AGAIN - back to the original 'design' and I'm glad to be DONE. I'm about to order the items for his walls and then we'll move forward with hanging, pasting, and otherwise just making it nice and classic with a slight twist!
We had some visitors this weekend and ended up at the aquarium - it was really nice and BIG! There are two buildings; one had salt water animals and the other had brackish water animals (otters!). We didn't get many pictures because we were so busy but the sea turtles were HUGE and really neat to watch. There was an area below the top where the lights were dim except for in the tank and you could hear the sounds from inside the tank - it was SO calming. I could have stayed there all afternoon just relaxing in that room.

The nature trails were neat, but it was SO hot! We decided not to do the entire trail and instead walked around and took a few pictures before heading back inside.

Luka Bleu thoroughly enjoyed the visit with his Poppa!

Busch Gardens! One of the very few pictures from the day... the boys rode Pompei several times. Poor Chandler was roped into riding Lochness Monster SEVEN times. By 3:30 his head was spinning and they had to call it a day. Mom and I left a little earlier but sat in traffic for 3 hours! So much for a short 40 minute trip home!

We took a break from wedding projects to hit up a Pirate/International Festival this weekend. It was a gorgeous day! We saw a good number of people we know and enjoyed tasting lots of good food. There were craft booths set up along one of the streets and I bought the neatest earrings - they're Belgian Francs and they have adventurine attached with small wire. When I saw them, I asked if she had a shop on etsy and told her I'd take a card and look online - but before we left, I couldn't help myself and totally splurged! I wear pearls every day and have been thinking about changing it up - these are perfect. I love them!

After spending the morning running around and walking in the sun we were pooped! Chandler and Luka took a nap while me and Belle went out to play.

I can't believe we only have one more weekend here! We've been so busy getting things packed or built or painted, etc... that I haven't really had time to enjoy the little bit of time I still have here. Hopefully it will be an easy transition...
It's another beautiful day and projects call.... happy Sunday!

Luka had a dental today. He'd broken a tooth some time ago but recently it became inflamed so that and the fact that the plaque on his molars had calcified meant - time for a dental. He doesn't do well under anesthesia so I was a little concerned but he passed his blood test with flying colors! Yay! Relief... 16.5 lbs of cat worried me. His little eyes are still dilated but aren't they the most beautiful green eyes you've ever seen? I love his eyes. They really are that green.

Finley wasn't sure what to make of the "vet smell" so he pitched a hissy little fit for a while (haha).

Luka finally settled down, but for the record Biggy Big went straight for the food bowl when he got home. Of course he was still loopy and couldn't jump on the dryer to get it (he fell, poor baby) and when I did offer him some he couldn't figure out how to eat it, so I found some canned food and he devoured it.
I had lots of bloggy thoughts today... mostly fun ones that included a Hope Aid fundraising update, slang words, and something about "jive turkey," but I just haven't felt up to posting much. Tomorrow.
